Connecting with others is the foundational within my services as well as within my personal values, and it intersects with my professional values. Through connection, we find shared understanding and shared experiences with one another which builds relationships. Once relationships are built, we are able collaborate through conversations, services and sharing information such as health education and resources within our communities to foster and support wellness. It starts at the beginning of every connection... with every individual and organizations within our communities.

Welcome to Connected Beginnings!
My name is Vonyee Howard. I’m a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Community Health Worker (CHW). I have an extensive, diverse and rich background in healthcare, public health and human services. I’ve worked as a Doula, a CHW, and in many other roles alongside doctors, nurses, social workers and mental health professionals for more than 25 years.
My passion is serving and supporting individuals from underserved communities, through advocacy, health and wellness education and connection to resources. I recognize the importance of building trusting relationships with my clients, as well as within communities. My work cannot be done without these components.
